The Genius of Tchaikovsky at The Orpheum Theatre

Vancouver’s premiere music education institution, the Vancouver Academy of Music, will be presenting an exciting display of their best, all-star students — the future stars of the world’s music stage — in a concert of Tchaikovsky favourites!

The Vancouver Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra (VAMSO) heralds the start of the holiday season with The Genius of Tchaikovsky on November 22, 2015 at 2pm at the Orpheum Theatre. Under the baton of lauded conductor Kathleen Allan, the exuberant young musicians will present an all- Tchaikovsky programme featuring some of the Romantic composer’s most beloved &
revered masterworks.

For many reasons, this is an excellent concert for families and the perfect “first” concert for little ones:

1) It is incredibly affordable — kids just $5! adults just $10!

2) It is a relaxing and non-intimidating first introduction to classical music for young kids — this is not your average, stuffy, late-night affair. It is an afternoon performance that welcomes families and young kids, paper shuffling and fidgeting included!

3) This concert supports the musical students — Vancouver kids! — who are working hard to perfect their craft, many of whom will go on to become Canada’s top musical talents!

4) It’s a special entrance into this year's holiday season.
